EWTN’s They Might Be Saints to Feature Servant of God Rhoda Wise On Path to Sainthood; Special Viewing Event on July 7, 2022

CANTON, OH June 9, 2022 – Canton’s beloved Servant of God Rhoda Wise will be featured in Eternal Word Television Network’s (EWTN) popular global television program They Might Be Saints with host Michael O’ Neill, award-winning author and famed “Miracle Hunter,” set to air on July 7, 2022 at 10:30am.

The global audience of EWTN will be excited to learn through powerful interviews, beautiful on-site footage and cinematic dramatizations the story of Rhoda Wise, an Ohio woman being considered for sainthood whose life was marked with great suffering, mystical gifts and miracles, including the cure of Rita Rizzo, the future Mother Angelica and foundress of EWTN,” said Mr. O’Neill.

To celebrate the episode’s release, the Rhoda Wise Shrine, Inc. will host a special live viewing on July 7 immediately following Rhoda Wise’s anniversary mass. Mass is scheduled for 6pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with the special viewing shown immediately after at St. John’s Catholic Church (one block west of St. Peter’s) in the social hall.

EWTN filming took place in mid-May at various Canton, Ohio locations that were integral to the life and Catholic formation of local mystic, stigmatist, and miracle worker Servant of God Rhoda Wise, whose process for canonization has begun. The 30-minute episode features interviews and testimonials about Mrs. Wise’s life, miraculous healings, and her profound impact on individuals from near and far since her death in 1948, including highlighting one medical favor.
