Survey: US Catholics Have Favorable View of Pope Francis

More than six-in-10 U.S adults, 63%, have a ‘very’ or ‘mostly’ favorable opinion of Pope Francis, according to the survey conducted in March using Pew’s online American Trends Panel. Among U.S. Catholics overall, 82% say they have a favorable opinion of the Pope.
