Pope Benedict’s Papal Conversions

Stefano Rellandini/PoolPope Benedict XVI prays before the remains of St Augustine during a visit to the northern Italy city of Pavia 22 April 2007. The Pope, himself a major theologian, was greatly influenced by Augustine, the intellectually restless 5th century theologian who had a major impact on the development of Western thought and religion.

COMMENTARY: The Church should learn from the late Pope and St. Augustine’s lessons of continual conversion, humility and prayer.
