Witness Talks – Lenten Speaker Series

Witness talks will be presented as part of
the Lenten Speaker Series at 7 pm on the following Tuesdays after the 6:30 pm Mass. A social
follows each presentation.
Tues., Mar. 19 – Mark Tomecko, Deacon-in-Training, will give a witness talk entitled “Pieces of
the Puzzle: My Call to the Diaconate.” He also will give some reflections on St. Joseph since
March 19 is St. Joseph’s feast day. Mark will be ordained a permanent Deacon May 4, 2024.
Mark has introduced a Vespers’ service at Queen of Heaven every Tuesday evening at 4:30 pm.
He lives in Medina and has travelled for 18 years to teach History and Government at Green
High School. Mark asked to be assigned to Queen of Heaven so he could get to know the faith
community in Green and those he serves at Green High School. He and wife Denise recently
celebrated 22 years of marriage and have 15-year-old twins. They are parishioners at St. Francis
Xavier Parish.
