Since 2013 when a group of committed Catholics from across our area began meeting to start Catholic radio in Cleveland, AM 1260 The Rock has been a grassroots lay apostolate. With a small group of committed founding board members and a growing list of donors who give what they can, AM 1260 The Rock is nearing our 5th anniversary of bringing ‘rock solid truth’ across the airwaves of Northeast Ohio.
As a listener-supported lay apostolate, we rely on the generosity of our listeners and those who understand the power and influence Catholic radio can have on one individual soul. In the privacy of one’s car, home, office or through the earbuds of their smartphone, the programs provided by EWTN and those locally produced can communicate directly and intimately with those who are searching for something meaningful in their lives. As St. Augustine said, “our souls are restless until they rest in Thee.”
