5 Years of Broadcasting

This Friday, August 14th, is the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Franciscan Friar who voluntarily took another man’s place to die in a starvation bunker at Auschwitz.
In addition to his selfless sacrifice, St. Maximilian Kolbe was deeply devoted to Our Lady and was also committed to evangelization, having started a Catholic radio station in Poland.  This also is a great day to pray for Catholic radio.
We have chosen this day for a Mass in honor of the donors and benefactors of AM 1260 The Rock to be celebrated at the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist at 12 noon.  Know that you and your intentions will be prayed for during this liturgy.  This is a public Mass, and as such you are welcome to attend in adherence with the Cathedral’s current Covid-19 protocols.
This year marks our 5th anniversary, and while none of our birthdays, anniversaries, or celebrations are as we anticipated, we give glory to God for the blessing of generous hearts who have made Catholic radio in Cleveland  possible, and even greater thanks for the gift of the Holy Eucharist, of which we are able to partake.
May you and those you love remain close to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, and under the protective mantle of Our Lady.
In Jesus’ name,
Bernadette Boguski
