Zelie’s Home Birdies for Babies Golf Scramble

Zelie’s Home is thrilled to announce the details of our inaugural Birdies for Babies Golf Scramble on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Zelie’s Home is the only program in Cuyahoga County that provides shelter to pregnant women for more than 90 days. All proceeds from Birdies for Babies go to support the mothers and babies of the home located in Garfield Heights.

Zelie’s Home, formally known as The Zechariah House, a division of Maggie’s Place, Inc. served moms and babies for the past 12 years as the “Z” House. We look forward to continuing and strengthening our commitment to our mission here in Cleveland.  As of July 1, 2020, the “Z” House is now an independent and entirely Ohio-focused nonprofit under Zelie’s Home.

Birdies for Babies will begin registration at noon, followed by a 1 pm shotgun start and commence at 1pm with a shotgun start and registration opening an hour prior. The day includes lunch, All-American Cookout Dinner, beverages on the course and at dinner, raffle opportunity, and, of course, 18 holes of golf at Shale Creek Golf Course in Medina, one of Ohio’s “must-play” public courses.  Non-golfing guests of players or sponsors are invited to join in the evening dinner and raffle activities with the purchase of ‘dinner only’ tickets. Skill prizes and a raffle of unique packages will also be featured along with “dinner-only” tickets for non-golfing guests of players or sponsors.

This year, we had hoped our world would return to normal and our event could take place like it did in 2019. However, given the current health situation pandemic, we recognize that there is a chance our pandemic lifestyle will continue. If this is the case, we will follow all required safety regulations and limit the number of golfers, guests at dinner, etc.

Fees for Birdies for Babies are $150 per golfer or $600 for a foursome; dinner only tickets are available for $30 each. Hole sponsorships are $200. Additional sponsorships with marketing opportunities are available. Golfers are invited to register for the scramble online at www.zelieshome.org/events/birdiesforbabies .
