The First Friday Club of Greater Akron is happy to announce that our November speaker will be:
T.K. Griffith,
Archbishop Hoban High School principal
The Power of Teaching, Coaching, Scripture, Poetry and Prayer
on November 5, 2021
Archbishop Hoban High School principal and alumnus, Class of 1989, T.K. Griffith has been an educator at Hoban for more than 28 years. He is in his first year as Hoban’s principal. Previous to that, he served as English teacher and department chair and has been the head boys basketball coach since 1993. Over the years, Mr. Griffith has fulfilled leadership roles on multiple committees and task forces. As a teacher and coach, he has many cherished years of strong relationships and memorable victories. He is proud of his Holy Cross roots and enjoys the opportunity to serve others in the classroom and on the court.
Mr. Griffith’s oldest three children graduated from Hoban. Allie graduated from University of Notre Dame and Austin from Duquesne University. Abby attends DePaul in Chicago and Andrew is a junior at Hoban. T.K. ‘s wife, Amy, is also a Hoban graduate and works at the Maynard Family Foundation.
Mr. Griffith received his B.A. from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and his M.A.T from Kent State University in 1994. He has 30 plus hours in postgraduate work from Walsh University in School Counseling and his Principal’s license from the University of Findlay Secondary Administration program.
