Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

The beautiful retelling of man’s relationship with God from the Fall to the Nativity in Scripture and Music.

Nine Student Musicians from Oberlin’s Conservatory of Music will raise their voices in song, directed and accompanied on the organ by St. James Musical Director, Adam Chlebek.

Each musical selection from the compositions of Engel, Lauridsen, Biebl and Howells has been carefully chosen to enhance the scriptural readings.

The inclusion of Traditional Christmas Carols further heightens the meaning of the performances and service. This celestial event will close with Benediction and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

There will be refreshments after the service providing an opportunity to extend the festivities and good will.
