Authentic Care for Patients Experiencing Same Sex Attractions

This will be a lecture on the following topic, followed by a short Q&A session. All are welcome, and there is no charge for this event.

“Physicians are called to treat the whole person, to provide healing and care for the body, mind and spirit. Patients who experience same-sex attractions face particular physical and emotional health concerns that deserve their physician’s attention. Likewise, the physician is uniquely placed to speak honestly to the patient about how this lifestyle could impact the patient’s health and well-being. This presentation will consider the Catholic Church’s outreach and care for people who experience same-sex attractions, and the physician’s role in helping to provide it.”
