The Saints of 1622: Holy People Have Holy Companions

Five saints. Saints Isidore, Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Teresa of Avila and Philip Neri are kneeling on the ground and look in worship up to the Holy Spirit, proposed as dove. Under the print an explanatory text, with a reference to their Canonization by Pope Gregory XV on March 12, 1622.

COMMENTARY: Jesus founded a Church — an ecclesia, an assembly — so that we would not be disciples alone.
