Supporting Catholic Radio

“Do as much as is in your power, and don’t worry about the rest.  These difficulties prove that this work is Mine.
Be at peace so long as you do all that is in your power.”
-Diary of St. M. Faustina Kowalska #1295
As the Lord spoke the words above to St. Faustina, He speaks them to us today.  In the midst of all that has been happening, we must always be at peace so long as we are doing everything that is within our power.  I keep reminding myself that this apostolate is not ours, but His.  Even when we experience technical glitches, wrinkles in our plans, or other difficulties, we remember that God has a purpose in all things.
For the last five years, we have done everything within our power to keep Catholic radio on the Cleveland airwaves, which is not a small accomplishment.  We have repaired and maintained equipment, developed local programming, spoken about the availability of Catholic radio at nearly 100 of the 185 parishes in our diocese, erected billboards, and had a presence at events throughout Northeast Ohio.  We have done everything within our power to provide 24/7 faithful Catholic programming that shares the good news of the love and Mercy of Jesus Christ, and that invites people into a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior.
This is what is within our power.  But we cannot do it without you.
Now more than ever, Catholic radio matters.  For those without cable or internet, during the past 8 weeks it has been the only connection to participating in the life of the Church, to being able to accompany the Lord during His passion, and to rejoice in His resurrection.  For many others, including myself, it has been a lifeline of hope, an anchor in a stormy sea, and a source of  spiritual sustenance.
TODAY begins our Spring Spirit Drive.  Starting at 8 AM and continuing through 6 PM this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, AM 1260 The Rock will be asking you, our listeners old and new, to become a monthly sustaining member or make a gift at whatever level is within your means to support Catholic radio in Cleveland.  As a listener-supported, non-profit lay apostolate, we rely on the generous hearts of our listeners and donors to continue offering quality Catholic programming that is faithful to the Magisterium and inspires conversion of heart and a deepening of faith.  If you have already made a gift/pledge toward the drive, or are one of our continuing sustaining members, know that we thank you for what you are making possible, each and every day. It is your support that keeps the Gospel message on the airwaves of Northeast Ohio.
Everyone can participate in one way or another.  Here are some ways you can help:
  • Become a monthly sustaining member at whatever level is right for you, or increase your current sustaining membership.
  • Make a one-time gift to support the work of AM 1260 The Rock-every gift matters!
  • Promote the Spirit Drive among your e-mail contacts, family and friends.  Share/forward this message to those  you think could/would support us.
  • PRAY for the success of the Spirit Drive and the apostolate of AM 1260 The Rock, so that we can continue to bring the Gospel message of joy and mercy to all those who tune in, listen live through our website, or connect through our mobile app.
We are so grateful to God for all he has done for this apostolate, and for all He continues to do, through you.
We trust in God’s divine providence and in your generosity.  It’ll be a very different Spirit Drive with social distancing, limited people on site, masks, and hand sanitizer, but the cause is no less important.
Help us get off to a good start and click here to make your gift today!
In gratitude,
Bernadette Boguski
