Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, the archbishop of Jakarta said that the attack on the first day of Holy Week “shocked everybody in Indonesia, not only Catholics,” noting that “leaders of all religious communities … condemned the brutal violence.”
