Yesterday was special. In so many ways.
The day started with two Masses in which we prayed for the listeners and benefactors of AM 1260 The Rock. Our Mass of the Month was held at 6:45 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in South Euclid, and The Rock staff joined in the Holy Mass to begin Day 2 of our Spring Spirit Drive. Nothing compares to the Holy Mass and being able to receive the Holy Eucharist, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Then, we had the pleasure of bringing to our listeners conversations with our transitional deacons, Bishop Roger Gries, and in the 3 PM hour, Fr. Donald Calloway, author of “Consecration to St. Joseph.” What Fr. Calloway has done in sharing so many insights on this great saint and helping us to draw closer to him is a gift to the Church and the Body of Christ. We are so grateful for this blessing.
And then there were the conversations with our friends at Catholic Answers and Teresa Tomeo, the people you tune in to hear each and every day. They shared wonderful insights about why Catholic radio matters, and why local affiliates like AM 1260 The Rock need your support.
This year in particular, Catholic radio has been a spiritual lifeline for Catholics and others who are afraid, isolated, and anxious, and for all of us as we struggle to maintain our sense of peace amid the unpredictability and chaos. Catholic radio has been dependable, constant, and continues to bring ‘rock solid truth’ in clarity and charity to a world has little of either these days.
Today we enter the final day of our Spring Spirit Drive; our next Spirit Drive won’t be until mid-October. We need our final day to be strong, and we need your help to get to the finish line. We have entrusted the success of this drive to St. Joseph and his intercession for God’s Divine Providence. We know that will manifest itself through your generosity.
