A fascinating new film called Sexual Revolution: 50 Years Since Humanae Vitae examines the 1960s cultural changes alongside the Catholic Church’s prophetic teaching in the 1968 document called Humanae Vitae on marriage, sex, parenthood and birth control.

The groundbreaking film looks at the fallout we see today from the sexual revolution – and the never-before-told story about the history of the Pill and the parallel development of modern fertility awareness in Natural Family Planning.

The movie was inspired by the true life story of recording artist and pro-choice feminist Alana Newman, a young woman born by anonymous donor conception. Alana is filled with curiosity about her biological father and develops feelings of abandonment. Her search for truth leads to a profound conversion when she discovers the treasures of Humanae Vitae and Theology of the Body.

The new film Sexual Revolution: 50 Years Since Humanae Vitae features interviews with Dr. Janet Smith, Helen Alvaré, Dr. Peter Kreeft, Christopher West, Abby Johnson, Archbishop Charles Chaput, and others – including the doctors who developed modern Natural Family Planning.
