Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Annual Writing Contest
The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians is seeking submissions for their annual Irish History Writing Contest. The theme this year is “History of the LAOH in the USA (Honoring the 125th anniversary). Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to submit their essay for the opportunity to win prizes from $50-$1000. Students do not need to be of Irish descent to enter.
Essays are scored on comprehension, organization, conclusion, creativity and writing skills and must be submitted to the student’s local LAOH Division Historian no later than November 15, 2019.
