Good Friday Devotions
April 19 @ 6:30 pm
Come to Good Friday devotions at St. Rocco Catholic Church at 6:30pm, as it will have it’s annual Good Friday Procession through the streets of the neighborhood. This tradition has been in existence for nearly 100yrs. Floats with various near life size statues depicting the passion and death of Jesus, as well as penitents carrying crosses will be part of the procession which concludes with the statue of the sorrowful mother, dressed in black, escorted by women of the parish praying the Rosary. At the end of the procession, a sermon on the sorrowful mother will be given by Benedictine Fr. Michael Brunovsky from St. Andrew Abbey. At the end of the sermon, benediction will be given with the relic of the True Cross which may then be venerated by the faithful present. St. Rocco Church, April 19th beginning at 6:30pm.
