Feast of Christ the King Celebration

On the FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING, the 25th of November, the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, located at 3645 East 65th Street will have their annual celebration at 4:30 PM.
This is a Vespers’ Service featuring singing of vespers, sermons, a solemn procession (usually dozens of the clergy participating-last year approx. 40, plus bishops) and benediction. This is not a Mass only Vespers.
Last year three languages were used in the service; Latin, English and Polish. Additional instrumentation will be added to this elaborate service (kettle drums, trumpets, horns) long with the beautiful voices of both the English and Polish Choirs of St. Stanislaus Church. In addition, solos will be sung during the service.
This entire service is the work of the Music Director, David Krakowski.
In the pews, there will be programs so the congregation can follow and participate.
