Ave Maris Stella: a sacred concert for lute & voices

Friday, November 16th at 7:30pm, Cleveland-based lute song duo Mignarda (Donna Stewart and Ron Andrico) continue the celebration of their 15th anniversary season with an appearance at St. Noel Catholic Church in Willoughby Hills. The internationally-renowned early music specialists have assembled a fine ensemble of Cleveland-area vocalists including Malina Rauschenfels and José Gotera, who will join them to present a sacred concert for lute and voices featuring the glorious Missa Ave Maris Stella by Spanish composer Tomás Luis de Victoria (c.1548 – 1611), and an exquisite selection of evocative music of the Spanish Renaissance dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
