|“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118
Today is a day for everyone connected to AM 1260 The Rock to rejoice as it was five years ago today (also a Monday) at 3 PM that AM 1260 The Rock went on the air with the words “Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever” followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
We have much for which to be grateful in those five years. Most particularly you, for it is your support, through prayer, through raising awareness, through your gifts of time, talent and treasure, that has brought us to this day. We would not be here were it not for the grace of God and your participation in this apostolate, which is His work. We are but mere instruments in His hands.
We hope that you will take some time today to offer a prayer of Thanksgiving for all that God has done in and through this apostolate. Know that a Mass for your intentions is being celebrated privately at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. This Mass will be live-streamed at 9:30 AM.
Just last week I received two testimonials from listeners for whom this station has been instrumental in their journey to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. God continues to work through this apostolate, and we continue to bring souls to Him because of your generous support.
Jesus, I trust in you!
Please remember to join us Wednesday through Friday for our Spring Spirit Drive. How fitting that our theme is Divine Mercy! Debbie Georgianni will be hosting virtually and we’ll be asking our listeners to make their gifts online to support Catholic radio as we continue what was started May 11, 2015.
