University of Notre Dame Chorale Winter Tour Concert

We are excited to host the University of Dame Chorale. The Chorale is the official concert choir of the University of Notre Dame. A mixed ensemble of 70 voices specializing in choral works from the Renaissance to the present. Please join us on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 2:30 pm. It is FREE and open to the public. You won’t want to miss this special opportunity to see this world -class Chorale.

 

The University of Notre Dame Chorale’s Winter Tour begins in Cleveland, OH, with further stops in Harrisburg, PA, Washington DC, Fair Haven, NJ, Morristown, NJ, Marlton, NJ, and Pittsburgh, PA.

The concert program features both rare and familiar choral works by Handel, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Debussy, and Stravinsky.

The Notre Dame Chorale is an ensemble of 55 undergraduate and graduate students from all branches of the University. Every December the Chorale, accompanied by the Notre Dame Festival Baroque Orchestra, presents Handel’s Messiah to sold-out audiences in the Notre Dame University DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.

The Notre Dame Chorale is directed by Alexander Blachly, known internationally for his Grammy-nominated Renaissance vocal ensemble Pomerium, with which he has released sixteen commercial recordings of Renaissance choral music on the Old Hall, Glissando, Deutsche Grammophon, Dorian, Classic Masters, and Nonesuch labels.

The Notre Dame Chorale’s winter tour concert is free and open to the public.
