In this Free concert, Holy Trinity’s new Organist, Mark Slatter, will explore the prevalent styles of organ music in Germany from the late baroque period. The program includes several pieces by Bach, one from Vivaldi, one from Pachelbel with the final Sonata by Mendelssohn, written almost one hundred years after the end of the period, drawing on many of these styles, reviving them and kickstarting a resurgence of organ music in German and Western Europe.
