Saint Anthony Chapel (Troy Hill, Pittsburgh)
“A Quaint European Haven in Pittsburgh”
We’ll take a private tour of the chapel that contains:
– The largest collection of relics of saints in the world outside of the Vatican
(5,000+).
– Life Sized Hand Carved Stations of The Cross from Germany
– Small Museum on the Life of Fr. Suitbert Mollinger, the Belgian Priest who
built the chapel and acquired the relics and station of the cross statues.
– A great gift shop.
12:00 – 1:30 PM
Holy Spirit Chapel (Duquesne University, Pittsburgh)
– Attend Mass at historic Holy Spirit Chapel (built in 1899).
– Post-mass presentation by Father Greg Olikenyi from the Order of The
Holy Spirit and faculty member at Duquesne in Department of Theology.
– Learn about the history of the missionary order and their works, past and
present, around the world. This includes founding Duquesne University in
1878.
– Discover how Duquesne and this chapel produced many famous alumni
including 4 bishops and 2 cardinals.

St. Patricks Church (Strip District, Pittsburgh)
– Private Tour of the First Catholic Church in Pittsburgh established in 1808.
– Climb the Holy Stairs (on your knees) which are a replica of the Holy Stairs
(Scala Sancta) at Pilate’s Praetorium that Saint Helena (mother of Roman
Emperor Constantine) brought back to Rome from Jerusalem.

Church Brew Works (Old Lawrencville, Pittsburgh)
Explore the restored Old Saint John the Baptist Church and its brewery.
4:35 – 7:10 PM
Bus Ride Home
– Snacks on Bus
– We will make a 20 minute rest stop if anyone wanted to purchase
additional food/dinner.
– Watch a short testimony from Medjugorje where Our Lady has been
appearing daily since June, 1981.
