The wonderful Fr. Ryan Mann from St. Basil the Great Parish is so kindly collaborating with The Culture Project to bring parents of the diocese an opportunity to hear more about what their children are facing in today’s culture and how they can form virtuous young people.
In an age where technology dominates our daily lives, young people are more connected to the digital world than ever before. This event will dive into the profound impacts that social media and new technologies have on our minds, relationships, and worldviews, especially on the development of young people. The talk will be led by Alexandria Miller, who draws upon her years of experience working with young people and The Culture Project to explore practical steps for living fully alive amidst today’s digital world.
We are living through the largest, most unanticipated global experiment in the history of
the world,” said Dr. Jean Twenge, whose work provides a foundation for this talk. The event will
offer insights into how this “global experiment” of placing digital devices in the hands of nearly
everyone has impacted society, especially youth, and will offer guidance on how young people
can find purpose and meaning beyond the screen. In addition to the talk, this event presents a special opportunity to meet the five new missionaries who will be serving the Diocese of Cleveland. These young men and women are
dedicated to spreading The Culture Project’s message of human dignity and sexual integrity,
engaging with local schools, parishes, and communities.
