Diocesan Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima at St. Casimir Church
August 26 @ 12:00 am - August 28 @ 12:00 am
On a visit to Portugal in 1984, Pope John Paul II aka Jan Pawel II blessed a Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. As we all know Jan Pawel had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and he attributed his survival of the assassination attempt to Her. Well, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions and Catholics world wide are drawing attention to the message of Fatima. Jesus said to embrace Mary as our Mother too and we honor Her in the role as the Mother of Jesus.
The following is a prayer of invocation to Our Lady of Fatima;
O God, who chose the Mother of your Son to be our Mother also, grant us that, persevering in penance and prayer for the salvation of the world, we may further more effectively each day the reign of Christ. Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
This year has been declared as the Jubliee Year of Fatima and special graces and indulgences abound for the faithful.
Father Eric Orzech has arranged for the Diocesan Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to come to both St. Stanislaus and St. Casimir.
St. Stanislaus Church is scheduled from Tuesday, July 11th (arrival) to Tuesday, July 18th (departure) with Thursday, July 13th being the day of Our Lady’s third visit to the three young shepherds in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal.

A special thanks to Father Orzech for arranging these two visits for his parishioners and all people. And we acknowledge, Agata Golub, for putting us in touch with the local Apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima. For additional information about the Apostolate, please visit the web-site at NEO Fatima Conference .
In the coming weeks more information will follow. Please consider volunteering at one of these two parishes. And remember, our beloved St. Jan Pawel II, who had a never ending devotion to the Mother of Our Savior, Jesus, blessed this image of Our Lady.
