Cleveland Catholic radio group acquires 1260 AM

St. Peter the Rock Media announced today that it has signed an agreement to purchase WWMK 1260 AM in Cleveland, Ohio. Closing of the transaction is subject to FCC approval.   St. Peter the Rock Media will operate the station as an Eternal Word Radio Network (EWTN) affiliate which provides a Catholic talk format.  FCC approval is expected no later than April 2015 at which time St. Peter the Rock Media will begin broadcasting on 1260 AM.Board members at tower site

St. Peter the Rock Media was started by a Cleveland group interested in providing a strong 24-hour-a-day Catholic radio station for Cleveland residents and commuters.  The corporation, a lay apostolate that seeks to share the message of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Faith, has filed for 501(c)(3) status.  Its mission is to provide quality programming faithful to the teachings of the Church, and presented in a way that inspires conversion of heart and deepening of faith, while building up the local Body of Christ.

Jerry Monroe, President of the St. Peter the Rock Media board of directors, stated, “St. Peter the Rock Media is excited to provide those living in the Cleveland metropolitan area with faithful Catholic broadcasting 24 hours a day.”
